Security Gates Keep Grab and Dash Burglars At Bay

Saturday, October 2nd, 2010

After installing the internal home security system, and went on vacation only to come home and find that you had been robbed anyway it may be time to step up the protection portion of your home security. Adding security gates, and iron perimeter fence will cut down on about another eighty percent of your break in problems. Those grab and dash criminals will not want to take the extra time to open the gates, or make a scene by crashing through them to get what they want. Visual walls, and fences will make a thief want to go elsewhere, as they are lazy and do not want to work very hard when the steal.

Having customized wrought iron and steel reinforced security and pedestrian gates will also keep your children safe when they are playing outside in the driveway. There are times when the gates may become disabled and the use of a driveway alarm as a third layer of protection will be a wise choice, and will give you that extra peace of mind. Not only will you know in the middle of the if someone drives through your gates, or disables the automatic gate open for entry, you will also be alerted to delivery drivers, and the cable guy showing up to drop off packages or service your home. Security gates alone will be part of the battle but the real defense comes into play when you put up a iron or steel perimeter fence around property.

Install A Driveway Alarm For Safety and Entertainment

Monday, September 20th, 2010

Installing a driveway alarm system is the right step in keeping family safe when you are at work or everyone is fast a sleep in bed at night. Unfortunately burglars do not care if you are home when they want to rob the contents of your house anymore and they will come on it, when they think you cannot hear them at night. The addition of driveway alarms will shame them into submission when you add some creative features, like a outdoor strobe light that will flash like the  emergency lights on top of a police cruiser, or fire truck. This will first of scare the crap out of them, and make them think they are busted, and the unwanted attention will have them skipping down the street like their buttocks are on fire.

Using wireless driveway alarms are even more intuitive, and can be hidden in plain sight. Letting a criminal get about ten to fifteen feet into your front or backyard area, and the flood lights can be synced up to the alarm for a warm and friendly welcome that will have those low life scum bags jumping headfirst over your fence line to get away as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, we cannot shoot them all for just coming on our real estate, so you might as well have fun humiliating them into submission.

A wireless driveway alarm is nothing new, and have been around about twenty years or more. They have expanded in technical efficiency over the last decade, and the added features have made them an almost necessary part of any family security setup. There are even models so advance now, that they can text your cell phone, or even snap a photo of the trespasser when the activate the motion sensors. Whether it’s a misbehaving child from down the street, or a hardcore home invader, these driveway alarm systems will give you some extra peace of mind, and maybe even a little entertainment when watching those idiots flee from your home’s perimeter.

A Door Alarm To Protect Your Home

Thursday, August 5th, 2010

Each year there are millions of burglaries committed around the world.  Unsuspecting victims are caught off guard and burglarized without ever giving much thought to the fact that they could be a victim.  One of the things that you can do to decrease your chances of being at a victim of burglary is to install a burglar alarm.

Installing a burglar alarm can be quite expensive and time consuming.  Most of the time you have to hire professional contractor to do the job for you if you want it done right.  This will only raise the cost of having this done.  Unfortunately many people forgo having a burglar alarm installed in their home or place of business simply because they can afford one.

There is a popular alternative to having a traditional burglar alarm installed in your home or place of business and that is using  a door alarm.  There are several home security products for you to choose from. The simplest type of alarm can simply be hung from the doorknob and if someone attempts to make entry into that door, the alarm will sound.  What could be more simple than that?

There are also door alarms that use stick on magnetic strips.  You simply peel the adhesive backing off of the magnetic sensors and stick one side on the door jamb and the other side on the door.  You need to make sure that you get them pretty close to each other so that this type of door alarm will work properly.

Whether you choose the type of door alarm that hangs on the doorknob or the type that sticks to the door and doorjamb, you will be much more secure in your home and sleep much better knowing that you will have a warning if someone tries to break into your home.  One of the best things other than the fact that you don’t have to hire a contractor to install these types of alarms is that they are fairly inexpensive.
