Wii DDR
Lately the Nintendo Wii has taken the nation by storm with its great family oriented games and active play modes. Now the geniuses from Nintendo are bringing us an old favorite game in a completely new format. Dance Dance Revolution is returning in a bold, new format on the Nintendo Wii for the first time.
Dance Dance Revolution is an old game completely reformatted for the new generation of dancers. The Wii accessories needed for DDR come with the game when you purchase it. They give you one dance mat and the disc. If you want to go head to head with your friends you would need additional mats and that accessory can be purchased separately. This game is being presented in a new, easier to understand format. The older versions of DDR were difficult to navigate through modes and game play. The Wii version is in a simpler format that will allow even the youngest dancer in the household to navigate the controls on his own.
In the spirit of many Wii games, Wii DDR also includes a workout format along with the standard modes. This workout format uses the same Wii accessories you would use when just playing DDR. There are no extras needed like some Wii games. This mode simply asks you a few questions and then you are dancing off those calories while having a great time doing it. The Wii DDR also includes great new modes such as battling, free play, and groove circuit, and of course, workout mode. Free play lets you pick any song out of the track list you want and dance away to it. Groove circuit just gives you objectives and lets you work your way through the track listings. Another excellent new feature of the new Wii DDR is the added hand motions to the game. The original DDR only used your feet. This added challenge is likely to be a favorite of everyone.
Overall this new Wii dance game is likely to become a new favorite in any house hold. It can get your heart beat up and get you moving like many of our current favorite Wii games. It has excellent music selections to get even the oldest member of the family nodding their head to the music while watching or even playing the game with family. The new, easy to use modes will make everyone happy, and since the game comes with all the Wii accessories you need, unless you want to invest in more than one dance mat for those house parties, it is a great game to bring home to the family this year.
