Egg rings Make The Perfect Breakfast Meal

Saturday, July 3rd, 2010

You have always enjoyed the perfectly formed sunny side fried eggs when you go to your neighborhood café or Denny’s restaurant. Usually at home, our cooked eggs come a little rougher and less aesthetically pleasing than when going out. They may taste just as good, but the uniformity is just not there at all. The trick is to use egg rings when making your breakfast, and they will become just like the ones that you pay for, but less expensive in the long run. The egg ring has been around for over a hundred years, and has been constructed from cast iron, chrome cast steal, aluminum, and even a hybrid silicone that will not melt from the heat of your frying pan or griddle.

Technology has caught up with this little kitchen gadget in many ways as you buy them in many shapes and sizes. When Valentines Day rolls around you can have heart shaped over easy eggs to show your spouse your undying love. You can be sure whatever occasion the will have a ring or shape to make a statement with your eggs. Even if you are preparing scrambled eggs, the rings will make a perfect shape to allow for covering a slice of bread, or a hamburger bun for an impromptu breakfast sandwich on the go.

An egg ring can essentially be use for any liquid item that you will cook on a flat surface like pancakes, and making mini omelets with your favorite ingredients. In a tight spot, you can use the ring for making a crepe. Another use is to create perfectly round fried mashed potatoes that are a delicacy in some areas of the country. Do not forget cornbread cakes, as you make them just like pancakes with the egg-rings but you will have a cornfritter or fried cornbread flavor to top with butter and sorghum syrup.
